Strategist & Investor Mark Newman Joins HealthTextiles Advisory Board
STOCKHOLM, Sweden: HealthTextiles, a leading innovative manufacturer that combines the latest technologies with heritage craftsmanship for world-class production of PPE, today announced that corporate strategist and investor Mark Newman will serve on its Advisory Board.
Newman is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Head of Strategy for Nyobolt, the original founders of ultra-fast charging niobium-based battery technology. Mark is also an investor and advisor to both investors and start-ups, and serves on the Board of the Faraday Institution.
Newman’s extensive experience with corporate strategy and business development are a strong addition to the company’s advisory board and the HealthTextiles team is thrilled to call upon Newman as a key advisor.
“On behalf of the entire HealthTextiles team, we warmly welcome Mark to our advisory board, and look forward to his perspective on how we can effectively navigate the next growth period of the company,” said Tomas Persson, Chairman. “Mark’s experience in business strategy is sure to be a major asset to our organization as we scale up in 2021 and beyond.”
Newman joins a distinguished group of global industry leaders already on the company’s advisory team, including Frank Ehmer (Partner, Apax Partners), Hampus Rystedt (Senior Patent Attorney), Peter Landvall (PhD in Medical Microbiology), Rickard H Vogel (entrepreneur and investor), and Anders Moberg (lawyer and partner, Cirio).
“It’s an honour to be involved as an early stage investor and advisor to this innovative technology company for the textile industry,” Newman says. “I hope to help HealthTextiles navigate the next stage of growth as they address exciting growth opportunities in PPE and sportswear.”
Mark previously spent 11 years as Managing Director and Senior Analyst covering Technology at Bernstein, and worked at Samsung in Korea for six years, during which time he held various strategy and business development roles, most recently as Director of Strategic Planning in Samsung’s Semiconductor Business. At Samsung, Mark was a key driver of several strategic initiatives, venture investments and acquisitions.
