HealthTextiles Enters Sportswear Market as the Company Expands Global Footprint
HealthTextiles, Europe’s leading innovative textiles manufacturer that combines the latest technologies with heritage craftsmanship for world-class production of healthcare garments, today announces the company has expanded into the sportswear market ahead of their global launch.
The company will collaborate with sport and wellness brands, professional athletes and sports teams to develop co-branded merchandise for competition and training, and has already signed a highly-lucrative partnership with performance and lifestyle brand Kordiebykordie.
As part of the partnership, HealthTextiles has produced a collection of smart training apparel for Kordiebykordie, including golf shirts, t-shirts and socks made with its patented TorTex fabric, powered by 37.5 Technology.
Especially designed for training, the sportswear garments are made from TorTex fabric powered by 37.5 technology, that is anti-odor, sustainable and comfortable.
“Kordiebykordie has worked closely and tested the performance t-shirts with TorTex™ powered by 37.5 technology with NHL stars John Klingberg & Mattias Janmark. TorTex™ fabrics powered by 37.5 technology are anti odor which makes the performance t-shirt very unique,” said the Kordiebykordie team.
“KordiebyKordie has been an outstanding partner for us this year and paramount to our growth in the sportswear sector,” added Tomas Persson, founder at HealthTextiles. “We’re excited to double down on that growth, expanding our footprint around the world as we collaborate and bring innovative performance sportswear to the market.”
As consumers become more concerned of climate change and consider the sustainability of products in their purchasing decisions, HealthTextiles is committed to transforming the textile industry to a more sustainable sector.
Traditionally the sports clothing market has been dominated with the big incumbent brands. However, there is a disconnect with the incumbent brands and the use of low-cost unsustainable fabrics. There is a strong need for a transformation to more sustainable fibers in the textile industry.
HealthTextiles is the first in the world to develop TorTex™ fabrics, with its unique patented design made from an optimal level of sustainable and biodegradable natural fibres, helping lower the impact of single-use medical protective clothing items on the environment. TorTex™ fabric is also made without coatings such as silver / nano silver. By avoiding silver, TorTex™ helps reduce the risks of antibiotic resistance and environmental pollution and does not release any harmful substances to people or the planet.
All HealthTextiles sports, lifestyle and healthcare apparel are developed at the company’s head office in Sweden — rigorously tested and designed to face elements that require full functional movement and varying temperatures.
