HealthTextiles, a leading innovative manufacturer that combines the latest technologies with heritage craftsmanship for world-class production of PPE, today announced it has signed a deal with one of Sweden’s leading dental company to provide anti-virus face masks in the fight against COVID-19.

Together with dental and wellness clinic Farstapraktiken, HealthTextiles has developed an anti-virus face masks made from its TorTex powered by Eco Dri fabric.

The patented TorTex fabrics reduce the risk of virus and bacteria infection by 20x compared to standard face mask fabrics, with 99.9% of viruses unable to infect a person after two hours with TorTex.

The biggest challenge for dental care is to continue to offer patients and staff a safe environment without infection,” says Liselott Davidsson, owner of Farstapraktiken. “Good safe face masks such as the TorTex powered by Eco Dri face masks provide a good and safe health environment and enhancement to the safety for both our employees and patients.”

“We have also been providing the TorTex face masks to our patients who need extra safety during the pandemic,” Davidsson continues. “They are also climate and environmentally friendly which is important to us as a company.”

“By optimizing sustainable and biodegradable natural fibres, TorTex helps lower the impact of single-use face masks on the environment,” says Tomas Persson, founder of HealthTextiles.

“We are proud that we will be supporting both the dental industry and the planet in every way we can over this critical period, helping tackle this unprecedented global health crisis together,” Persson adds.

The TorTex powered by Eco Dri face masks can be washed up to 25 times in 60 degree heat without losing their anti-virus properties, and are available for 249kr each.
